James Forrest Brown
James F. Brown, 60, a retired Sergeant for the Anchorage, Alaska Police Department, died Saturday, March 19, 2005 at an Arlington hospital.
Funeral: 1 P.M. Wednesday at Blessing Colonial Chapel. Burial: Skyvue Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at Blessing Funeral Home.
Memorials: American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
James was born in Crockett, Texas on Aug. 31, 1944, the son of M.M. “Fatz” and Marion Claire Boone Brown. He married Cynthia Dianne Crooks in Baytown, Texas on Dec. 18, 1965. Our beloved husband and dad was a 1966 graduate of Texas A & M and Joe Brinkman Umpire School, umpiring college level baseball games in Alaska and an avid golfer. James was preceded in death by his parents, M. M. “Fatz” and Marion Brown and brother-in-law, W.R. Harper.
Survivors: wife, Cindy of Mansfield; sons, Timothy W. Brown and fiance Stephanie Kelley of Fort Worth and Richard C. “Corky” Brown and wife Lisa of Round Rock; granddaughter, Emma Claire Brown; sister, Martha L. Harper of Mont Belvieu, Tx; niece, Marna K. Harper of Mont Belvieu; his best four legged friend, Sarah; and numerous extended family members.
